If you love food then this is the perfect opportunity for you to sample Scottish fayre, taste the best Scottish whiskies, enjoy fine wines and beers, and try your hand at mixing cocktails.
In amongst the festival fever in Edinburgh in August you'll find the weekend of the Foodies Festival packed with local produce, whisky and more to satisfy any palate or those with a curiosity about Scottish cuisine and the other types of the food growing in popularity across the country.
Tens of thousands of visitors turn up to enjoy the Foodies Festival which offers up a wide range of activities. Visitors can enjoy the Chef's Theatre featuring well known chefs, the Drink's Theatre and the Children's Cookery Theatre with workshops for the kids.
The festival is also home to the Tasting Theatre where masterclasses designed by food bloggers and experts will show off some of the latest food combinations and cuisines rocking the cooking world. The popularity of baking and cakes means there is a dedicated Cake & Bake section as well as Craft Beer and Wine and Champagne areas to enjoy. There is even a dedicated Vintage Tea Theatre where daily tea dances can be enjoyed throughout the festival.
Alongside all the demos and workshops the Foodies Festival is also home to hundreds of exhibitors showing off their wares, latest products and fresh, local goodies to sample and purchase.
